Soft leather-gourmand chypre. The theme of leather here is played softly: no tar, no smoke, but the thick aromas of flowers, tobacco, and dried fruits are waving dense ornament instead. Quiet power, confidence, sudden touches, whispers, velvet skin- the perfume is extremely kinesthetic. It forms a cozy, protective cocoon around its wearer in nasty weather, that let him forget about the winter at all.
If sprayed, it shows more gourmand and flowery notes, and a greater sillage.

sensational fragrance... I add drops into my winter coat around the neck, arm and chest area.. close up and as you move, your body heat warms the scent and sends wafts of the fragrance every time you move.. Your own personal aromatherapy during the harsh wintry months..a real mood changer, calming and relaxing, pressures are all forgotten…

Rich boozy-spicy leather
The opening is as bold and complex as in Cuir de Russie but more conventional. It has this dark boozy-leathery accord (it's imho castoreum but it doesn't make it stink at all) harmonized with balsamic, spicy and smoky myrrh, dry tobacco sweetened by hay-like, herbaceous immortelle and a bunch of spices. If you are somewhat familiar with the dark, masculine (niche or not) boozy-leathery/tobacco-ey scents, then this might be a safe choice to buy if you want to be sure that you're going to finish your sample. Thanks to this accessibility, this is one of a few AZ's scents I can actually compare to other fragrances. If you took the herbal-aromatic immortele+labdanum leather accord from HdP 1740 and mixed it with Bianchi's The Black Knight, you wouldn't be miles away from Secret Dreams. However, the richness of ingredients prevents it from being another cliched hyper-masculine leather fragrance. Beautiful stuff.

Secret Dreams will transport you to your own cozy embrace…. a place where the warmth of the tobacco and magic of the myrrh bring back warm memories and give light to the creature comforts within your own personal realm. Castoreum here is wild, yet gently tame, and the immortelle and tuberose add a sweet, mellow floral component that softens and enhances the warmth of the myrrh and tobacco. Genial spices, cardamon and saffron, are tender in this fragrance offering a heartwarming and homely feel to the light woody cedar and patchouli base. Its a delightfully genteel interpretation of myrrh which can otherwise be harsh and bittersweet and masterful use of such redolent spices. Secret Dreams is a whispery warm scent of furtive comfort, a lingering, faraway daydream.
